Overview.

The mediation process starts with a Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM), where each person meets the mediator individually to see if mediation is suitable. If both agree to continue, they meet with the mediator to discuss and resolve issues like child arrangements and financial settlements. Agreements can be made legally binding through a solicitor, offering clarity and avoiding court.
